On Saturday, the USA President Biden addresses Russian people directly and said “You are not our enemy”
Biden said during his speech in Warsaw:
“I’ve always spoken directly and honestly to you, the Russian people, let me say this if you’re able to listen: You the Russian people are not our enemy. I refuse to believe that you welcome the killing of innocent children and grandparents or that you accept hospitals, schools, maternity wards — for God’s sake — being pummeled with Russian missiles and bombs,”.
In addition to this the President Biden said that the Russian President actions are not the actions of the great nations. He called Russians to speak up as they are alive because of Soviet Union and heard the reality from their ancestors.
In addition to this, the Biden said:
“These are not memories of the past, this is exactly what the Russian army is doing in Ukraine right now. This is not who you are. This is not the future you deserve for your families and your children. I’m telling you the truth. This war is not worthy of you, the Russian people,”
The Biden condemns Russian unprovoked invasion of Ukraine and impose serious sanctions over Russia and pledges Russian assets.
A USA is also facing an energy price hike because of Russian sanctions. Mr. Putin also announced that unfriendly countries will pay in Russian currency for Russian natural gas.
