The health authority of Belgium announced that in the coming days, Belgium will make changes in the policies of covid-19 quarantine. In the present situation, the Omicron cases are increasing rapidly in Belgium as well.

The CDC also cuts short the time of isolation for those asymptomatic Americans. People are working on essential posts and short isolation time will help to run the system of the country smoothly.

New Rules for Covid-19 Isolation | Belgium

The implementation of the new rules will start from Monday. As per the new rules, the isolation period for the vaccinated people is short. The following are the new rules of Belgium regarding the quarantine of Covid-19:

  • Belgians who are sick due to coronavirus can shorten their isolation time to 7 days from 10 days.
  • But, they should maintain social distance from others. They are not allowed to attend social gatherings for further 3 days.
  • Furthermore, there is no PCR or quarantine after high-risk contact with an infected person only for those fully vaccinated people who also received their booster dose within the last 5 months.
  • But, unvaccinated people must quarantine themselves and take PCR tests on the first and seventh day. They can leave their quarantine after taking a daily negative test.
  • Those who are partially vaccinated after contacting an infected person will remain quarantined for 7 days. In addition to this, they can end their quarantine after 4 days based on self-administered daily negative tests.

Similar changes are coming in other countries like Spain and France. Unlike, these countries, China is not going to give up its zero covid policy and continue its lockdown and harsh restrictions.
